I am interested to rent a car at Tokyo Haneda Airport and drive it all the way down to heroshima and drop it off at the Airport. We are a family of 5 people.

I can see you didn't make a search yet. Start to make a search typing Tokyo into the search engine and choose Tokyo Haneda Aitport from the drop down menu. Then:-

If you intend to drop off the vehicle in a different location from the pick up location, then tick the box “Return to a different location”. If then no cars are displayed at STEP2, then one way is not permitted between these locations. For one way rentals sometimes it can be a fee. This is always included in the total rental rate and payable at the desk on arrival.

At the top of STEP2 (above the individual car photos) is a scrolling left to right car type filter, where you can filter the results by car size, for example 7,8 or 9 seaters or convertibles where they are available.

Great. I see 7 seater cars available which will be very suitable to have some space and luggage extra. Also I would like to add my 23 year old son as an additional driver. Are there any extra costs for an extra driver.

The driver must have held a full driving licence for at least one year. At STEP2, click on the link "IMPORTANT INFORMATION' displayed to the right of the car photo of your choice. This will open another smaller window and if you click on "DRIVER" you will see what age restrictions there may be and any associated fees. Try a few different car models / suppliers, as they do differ.

The minimum age is 20 I see. And no additional costs with the supplier I choose. Great. I know enough and will proceed and make the booking.
